This environmentally-friendly premium dog collar is made from organic leather, and tanned naturally using a plant-based tanner. The tanner is derived from olive tree leaves and treating the leather with this luxurious product improves the quality of the product in many ways, giving it a richer colour as well as a softer feel.
It also brings out the grain of the leather, giving fullness to the material, as well as giving this unique collar a Mediterranean aroma. Since olive tree leaves are a by-product of the olive farming process, the tannin extracted from the leaves is therefore environmentally friendly, as well as renewable – offering benefits all round!
With a simple yet appealing design, the Hunter Porto Collar is available in eight sizes, but is most popular for large to medium sized dogs due to its wide neck design. Smaller sizes may be ordered on request however. Like all High Quality Hunter Products, the Porto Collar meets the excellent standards of aesthetics, practicality and suitability, and demonstrates German craftmanship at it best. If you’re looking for a quality collar treat your pooch, this hard-wearing but classic collar is the perfect indulgence.
Looking After Your Hunter Dog Collar
To keep your beautiful handmade collar looking its best, we recommend wiping or brushing of dirt and treating the leather to a leather conditioner once every few months. This will help your luxury collar last and stay looking exquisite and of the highest quality, ready for many dog walks to come.
Love Your Pet; Love Their Collar
Whilst this collar is suitable for most breeds, you know your pet best! Always ensure that the collar is suitable for your dog’s size and kept in good condition so as not to become weathered and faulty, as this could put your pet at risk.
All of our products are of the highest quality, so with good care will last the test of time – and mud!
